Come out to Hinds Community College, Tom Shepherd Field, and catch the best JUCO soccer action in Mississippi.

Hinds is the host site for the 2015 state tournament where the top eight Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) soccer teams in the state are converging today and tomorrow.  Semi-final games begin today (Oct 30). Play starts at 11 a.m. with the Hinds CC Lady Eagles, number one in the north division, taking on the Jones County Junior College Lady Bobcats (number two in the south). It should be a great match-up.

Capping off semi-finals tournament play today at 6 p.m. will be a fast-action game between Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College (number two in the south) and the Hinds Community College Eagles men, who come in to the tournament with the best regular season record of 11-4 overall and 8-0 in north division play (number one seed).

All Hallows Eve, a.k.a. Halloween will be the day for championship games, with the women at 10 a.m. and men at high noon, costumes optional.

So, you'll have plenty of time to watch some of the best soccer you'll see all season at the MACJC State Tournament before heading out to gather your Halloween candy or head for a party or two.
