This year marks the 50th Anniversary for the Respiratory Technology program. Driscoll DeVaul, a 2002 graduate of the program, is the director of respiratory care at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, the largest of its kind in metro Jackson.
“The invaluable clinical instruction received has given me the tools needed to perform as a strong clinical resource in providing the best respiratory care possible,” DeVaul said.
The profession requires sound judgment and the ability to provide appropriate health care services. Sonographers are highly skilled professionals, qualified by education, to provide patient services using diagnostic techniques under the supervision of a licensed physician, usually a radiologist.
