Are you looking for a good laugh that also helps out a great cause? Well, you’re in luck.
At 6 p.m. on Oct. 29, the Hinds Community College baseball and softball teams will host the fourth annual Monster Mash at Moss, a co-ed softball game at Joe G. Moss Field on the Raymond Campus.
Where is the laugh and what is the cause, you might ask?
The laugh comes from the baseball and softball players competing in their Halloween costumes, which despite your efforts to take them seriously, you just can’t.
The good cause is that all money made and/or donated to this event goes to the Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children in Jackson.
Fans can get in on the action as well, as all fans in attendance are highly encouraged to wear their Halloween costumes to this event.
Player introductions, along with a trunk-or-treat set up outside the playing field for children in costumes, will begin at 6 p.m.
The first pitch will be thrown at approximately 6:30 p.m. and the two teams will play a seven-inning contest.
Admission is $2 with a Hinds ID and regular admission is $5. Kids 12 and under may enter for free. Concessions will be available as well.
We hope to see you out at Joe G. Moss on the 29th!
