Over the past semester at Hinds Community College, Rick Melancon’s ENG 2133, Creative Writing I and Sarah Teasley’s ART 1513, Computer Art classes have joined forces to create a literary and visual arts publication. Students from each class brainstormed a list of titles that were compiled and voted on, and thus the first edition of Quill and Brush is born.

The Lendon Players here at Hinds Community College are known as a group of theatre major students looking to perfect their craft. With every great play, comes a great cast. For every great cast, comes an even better director. Alison Stafford has been that great director here at Hinds for the last few years.

The Utica Campus held its second annual Vice President’s Scholarship and Hall of Honors Gala March 31. The goals of the event were to honor individuals who has made tremendous strides in their professional careers as well as raise money for scholarships for potential students. The night was filled with social reunions, music, food and pictures -- lots and lots of pictures.
